BuFfeT aT MarrIoTT
Yesterday (10.06.07) was a great day for me cos I had a date with auntie Juvina for a buffet lunch at Marriott Cafe. We had been planning for a very long time to go there for lunch and finally, we made it yesterday. It was a treat from auntie Ju cos she strike a small lottery. Hey, but I did not ask her to give me a treat k. She insisted and said its ‘Sab sab suai’ (in cantonese) to her. Supposingly, there should be a group of us but since none were free, we went ahead without them. Its not my first time there for lunch but I still feel very much excited. Hmmm…. Maybe because auntie Juvina give me a very motherly feeling ba.
The first thing we ‘attacked’ was the Beijing ‘Pi Pa Ya’, followed by oysters and lobster. Next, we had sashimi, salad and some other main dishes. Last but not least were those delicious and colourful desert! Seen them? Yummy….!
Auntie Juvina was funny, when she saw that big strawberry chocolate fonde, she was so delighted and started giggling to herself. That really amused me cos she really behaves like a little kid. Ha ha….
Over the lunch, we had lots of conversation that sparks alot of laughters. Thinking back, it seems like we were the only table that were laughing our heads off throughout our 2 and a half hours there. Opps….
Leaving Marriott, her treat for the day wasn’t over yet. Guess where she bought me to? We made our way to Royce at Takashimaya to buy chocolate. All in all, she bought 7 boxes of them. One for me, herself and the rest who didn’t make it for the lunch. That is really kind and thoughtful of her. Ain’t she a great auntie?? So nice and adorable. Hee…. =)
